OFFICIAL SYMBOL FOR ISSUING AGENTS

To All Qualified Issuing Agents in the
Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
The Treasury Department has authorized the enclosed decalcomania
for display exclusively by qualified issuing agents of Series E. Savings
Bonds. It is desired that the insigne become known to the public as the
official symbol o f issuing agents, and it will be referred to frequently in
national advertising. The insigne is designed for permanent placement in
some prominent location, such as the lobby or on a street window or enĀ­
trance as an identification and a constant purchase reminder. It may be
applied on a painted surface or on or behind glass.
This bank will appreciate the cooperation of each issuing agent in promĀ­
inently and permanently displaying the insigne. Replacements or additional
insignia will be furnished upon request.
