Dallas, Texas, May 20, 1942

To All Banking Institutions in the
Eleventh Federal Reserve District:
The Treasury Department has informed this bank that it
is authorized to accept issuing agent’s stamp, in the case of
banks, as a substitute for the corporate seal on certifications
for requests for payment of United States Savings Bonds.
This matter will be included in the next revision of Treas­
ury Department Circular No. 530, and pending such time, cer­
tifications so authenticated will be accepted.
