TO: The Chief Operating Officer of each
financial institution and others concerned
in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District

Product Code Dictionary
The Federal Reserve System is pleased to introduce the Product Code Dictionary
(PCD), a new tool designed specifically to help you and your staff better understand the charges
on your monthly Statement of Service Charges. The PCD can be accessed free of charge via the
Federal Reserve Financial Services web address at After choosing
Accounting Services, select Billing. We hope you will take a few minutes to visit the Financial
Services web site and try out the new tool.
The PCD is easy to use and provides quick, up-to-date billing information about the
services you receive from the Federal Reserve. It allows you the flexibility to access specific
product code information regarding the codes found on your individual Statement of Service
For your convenience, we have included a brochure about the PCD that contains a
detachable business card with the Financial Services web address. You may want to post the
brochure to your bulletin board for easy access by staff working with the Summary Statement of
Service Charges.
The PCD, together with the Account Management Guide and the booklet How To
Read Your Federal Reserve Summary Statement of Service Charges, has been designed to enhance your understanding of the information found on the Billing statement.
