F ederal R eserve Bank of D allas DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 Circular Wo. 72-12 January 20, 1972 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT To All Batiks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: J. L. Cook, Senior Vice President in Charge of the Houston Branch, after having reached the normal retirement age of 65, will retire on February 1, 1972. Mr. Cook has completed almost ^9 years of service with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas serving in various capacities at Dallas and at the Houston and San Antonio Branches. James L. Cauthen, Senior Vice President at the Head Office, will succeed Mr. Cook as Senior Vice President in Charge of the Houston Branch. Mr. Cauthen was employed by the Bank in 1930. He was promoted to Assistant Cashier in 1956 and to Vice President in 1959* He was promoted to Senior Vice President and Controller on January 1, 19^9* Mr. Cauthen has had various assignments with the Bank, serving at the El Paso Branch and the Head Office.
