F ederal reserve Bank DALLAS, TEXAS of Da lla s 75222 Circular No. 67-20 January 31,1967 OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT To All Banks in the Eleventh Federal Reserve District: Mr. G. R. Murff, Vice President and Secretary of the Board, is retiring on February 1,1967, under the provisions of the Retirement System of the Federal Reserve Banks. He has completed almost 48 years of service in the Federal Reserve System, most of the period with the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. Mr. Murff was first employed at the El Paso Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, but after almost 15 years of service moved to the Field Examining Staff of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, progressing to the position of Chief Field Examiner. After a short tour of duty as Assistant Secretary of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, he returned to this Bank and served successively as General Auditor, Vice President, and Vice President and Secretary of the Board. As the Vice President in charge of the Accounting function, he served as the Budget Officer of this Bank from 1958 until his retirement. Yours very truly, Watrous H.
