F ederal Reserve Bank of Dallas DALLAS, TEXAS 75222 C i r c u la r No. 78-122 A u g u s t 30, 1978 NEW STYLE CANAL ZONE POSTAL MONEY ORDER TO A LL BANKS IN THE ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE D IS T R IC T: T h e Canal Zone Postal S e rvice has redesigned its postal money o rd e r forms to more closely conform to United States postal money o rd e r forms. T h e new style money orders a re th r e e -p a r t and a re sim ilar to United States Postal S ervice money o rd e rs , with the following exceptions: (1) T h e customer's receipt bears the Canal Zone seal w ith the legend, "The Canal Zone Postal S e rv ic e ." (2) T h e heading on the money o rd e r voucher reads, "CZPS M. O. v o u c h e r." (3) The heading on the money o r d e r , imposed ove r a green b o rd e r, reads, "Canal Zone Postal Money O r d e r ," and the bank routing number is 101-800. 0000 (4) The validation plate depicts the Canal Zone seal with the legend, "The Canal Zone Postal S e rv ic e ," and the c le rk 's identification num ber. The maximum value of Canal Zone money orders is $300. T h e Canal Zone Postal Service began issuing the new style money o rders on August 14, 1978. A sample of the new Canal Zone Postal S e rv ice money o rd e r is p rin te d on the reverse of this c i r c u l a r .
