F ederal r e se r v e B a nk DALLAS, TEXAS o f D allas 7S 2 22 Circular No. 80-221 Novem ber 17, 1980 PAYMENT OF BAHAMIAN POSTAL MONEY ORDERS TO ALL BANKS IN THE ELEVENTH FEDERAL RESERVE DISTRICT: We have been advised by the Postal Service that by agreem ent betw een the United S tates Postal Service (USPS) and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas, dom estic (U.S.A.) Bahamian postal money orders will be accepted for payment by the USPS. Therefore, banks may deposit such money orders with us in the same manner as U.S. postal money orders. The new money order contains a seal and is printed on white paper stock with light blue lines. For your information, a photocopy o f the revised format is printed on the reverse of this circular. These revised Bahamian money orders are negotiable. If you have any questions concerning the handling of these money orders, please con tact your local Postmaster or the supervisor o f our Govern ment Check/Post O ffice Money Order Section, Ext. 6230.
