FEDERAL RESERVE BANK O F NEW YORK F i s c a l A g e n t of the U n i t e d S t a t e s r Circular No. 2 6 6 5 1 L August 5, 1943 J List of Banks and Trust Companies in the Second Federal Reserve District Qualified to Act as Depositaries for Withheld Taxes To all Banking Institutions in the Second Federal Ecserve District: For your information we are sending you herewith a list, arranged alphabetically, showing the names and locations of all banks and trust companies in the Second Federal Reserve District which have qualified up to the close of business August 4, 1943, as Depositaries for Withheld Taxes under the provisions of Treasury Department Circular No. 714, as amended, entitled "Regulations Governing the Payment through Depositary Banks of Funds Withheld as Taxes in Accordance with the Provisions of the Current Tax Payment Act of 1943". This list will enable you to furnish, upon request, the names and addresses of such depositaries to employers who deduct and withhold a tax upon the wages of their employees.
