New Counterfeit $20 Federal Reserve Note
To all Banks, Trust Companies and Savings Banks
in the Second Federal Reserve District:

Your attention is called to another new counterfeit $20 Federal Reserve Note.
I t is described by the Secret Service Division of the Treasury Department in its
circular letter N o . 452 as follows:
" O n the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Massachusetts; Series 1914,
check letter ' C ; face plate No. 32; no serial numbers; John Burke, Treasurer
of the United States; Carter Glass, Secretary of the Treasury; portrait of
Cleveland.
" T h e note is very poorly printed from zinc etched plates, on one
piece of paper, no attempt being made to imitate the silk thread of the
genuine.

The workmanship on both face and back of this note is so poor

t h a t further description is unnecessary."
