SATURDAY CLOSINGS OF CONNECTICUT BANKS
DURING SUMMER MONTHS

To All Banking Institutions in the Second
Federal Beserve District, and Others Concerned :

We have been advised by The Connecticut Bankers Association that
the Governor of the State of Connecticut, by proclamation, has declared
each Saturday from June 1 to September 28, 1946, inclusive, as a bank
holiday, and that, accordingly, all banking institutions in that State will
remain closed on Saturdays during June, July, August and September,
1946.
In view of the fact that the Connecticut banks will remain closed on
Saturdays during the months stated above, there may be a delay in the
return of many dishonored cash items and in our advice to you of the
nonpayment of such items.
