COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BY INDUSTRY

reporting

C o m m e r c i a l and industrial loans decreased a net of
large c o m m e r c i a l banks during October 27.

$32 m i l l i o n at weekly

The p r i n c i p a l net decreases were $78 m i l l i o n in loans to m a n u f a c t u r e r s of
m a c h i n e r y , and $44 m i l l i o n to textiles, apparel, and leather p r o d u c t s .
The larger o f f s e t t i n g net increases were $71 m i l l i o n
trade, and $75 m i l l i o n to "other" public utilities.
