For Immediate release Octdber 20, 1965 H. 12 COMMERCIAL AMD INDUSTRIAL LOANS OUTSTANDING BT INDUSTRY Ccmnerclal and Industrial loans Increased In ten districts and a net of $238 million at weekly reporting member "banks during the week ended Octdber 13# The principals net Increases were .$79 million in loans to retail trade, * $39 million to "other" wholesale, $36 million to manufacturers of food, liquor, + and tobacco products, and $51/ million to unclassified borrowers. The largest offsetting 9 ^ decrease was $26million in loans to manufacturers of "other" nondurable goods. , Outstanding loans and changes from a week ago and a year ago are shown below; cumulative dhanges since mid-year and during the ccomparable period last year are shown * in the last two columns.
