Description:
It was at his testimony during these hearings that Eccles was recognized by government officials, which lead to his being asked to take on the position of an assistant to Secretary of the Treasury Henry Morgenthau, Jr., and shortly thereafter was nominated by President Roosevelt for the position of Governor of the Federal Reserve Board. These pages were extracted from the full hearing, and were not a part of the archival collection at the University of Utah.
