John N. Peyton was Chairman and Federal Reserve agent of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 1933 to 1936. With the passage of the Banking Act of 1935, the dual role of governor and agent were abolished and the new role of president was created. Peyton served as President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis from 1936 to 1952.
