<p>These volumes represent a history of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from its formative years to 1984. Volume I reviews approximately 46 years of the history of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, from its beginning in 1914 to 1960. This time period covers both World Wars, the prosperity of the 1920s, and the Great Depression, and discusses the ways in which those events shaped the Bank and its people. Volume II covers the years beginning in 1960 and continues through 1984 and the many momentous changes that took place within the Bank's management and operations.</p>
