<note type="public">Water backed up through the sewage system into the basement of the Bank to a depth of 3.5 feet. Water surrounded the vaults and a small amount seeped into the vaults through the combination locking devices. Some of the vault money did get wet and was dried by use of electric ironers for several weeks afterwards.</note>
