About the Collection

This digital collection of the papers of Marriner S. Eccles, chairman (1934-1948) and member (1948-1951) of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, provides research material about the Federal Reserve System, particularly during the 1930s and 1940s, as well as Marriner Eccles’s role in monetary and fiscal systems of the United States during those years. Materials are held by the University of Utah, J. Willard Marriott Library, Special Collections Department.

The collection available at the University of Utah contains papers from the period 1910 through 1985; the documents selected for digitization here represent only a portion of the complete collection and focus on the years when Marriner Eccles was working within the Federal Reserve System.
