Secretary of the Treasurery

Dear Sir:

We wired you today as follows: "This

favors Minneapolis for a Regional Reserve Bank
cause the flow of business- from here is naturally
toward Minneapolis”
,
Confirming this telegram, we wish to say that
Minneapolis is the logical point for one of the
Regional Reserve Banks from its prominence as a
Commercial Center in this section and from the very
fact that the Northwest in general will he best
served by the establishing such a bank in that
City.

Aside from this it is tl*e home of the im

plement, lumber, milling, grain and elevator bus
iness.

Then too the annual clearings of Minn

eapolis is nearly tvjice that of its neighbor, The
City of St. Paul.

My Dear Sir*
This Bank favors Minneapolis,
Minneeota as the location for the National
Reserve Bank, for the northwest country, ow
ing to the fact that Minneapolis seems to he
the center for the majority of the grain
business, lumber business* implement business,
and flour business of the Sorthwest, and we are
therefore very anxious to have Minneapolis named
as the Regional Reserve City* for this territory,
Trusting you will give this letter
due consideration, we are.
