the South and many o f our bankers and business men are ernest advo­
cates of Richmond as the best point f o r the establishment o f the
region al reserve bank.
Richmond understands the mariner o f business o f Southern
business men and alsom t h e ir r e s p o n s i b i l i t y ; they are accustomed to
doing business with Southern business men and the establishment o f such
a bank at Richmond would be very popular in the South*
Trusting that you wil. lend your influ en ce f i r s t to the
establishment o f th is bank at Columbia, but i f not at Columbia, then
