Receipts, Disbursements, and Balance of the Texas Depositors'
Guaranty Fund, by Years, 1910-1927

Permanent depositors' guaranty fund, together with proceeds received by fund from liquidation of failed banks. From beginning of fund to August 31, 1920,
these were treated as separate funds.
For period to August 31, 1920, the receipt items "net assessments for permanent fund" and "other" and the disbursement item "other" are from the
depositors' fund statements in annual and biennial reports of the Commissioner of Insurance and Banking (see notes attached to the respective
columns for items separately reported that are combined here); the other receipts and disbursement items are from other sources as described in
the notes attached to the respective columns. For the two fiscal years 1920-21, and 1922-23, all items are from the depositors' fund statements
published in the annual reports of the Commissioner, with adjustments described in notes attached tc the respective columns. For later fiscal
years, from sources described in the notes to the respective columns.
The first annual report following the Third Biennial indicates that the entire balance on August 31, 1911 was collected from assessments. Consequently,
for 1910-11 the $4310834.18 is assumed to have been received from assessments prior to Aug. 31, 1910 and $63,851.49 from that date to Aug. 31, 1911.
For 1912-22 amounts reported as "Received during the year from newly incorporated institutions, and increase in capital stock" plus "Collected on annual
premiums from banking institutions, 1/4 of 1 percent of average daily deposits and 1 percent subject to adjustment, due Nov. 1" less the total of the
following items: "Refund to banks' adjustment balances on basis of 1 percent of average daily deposits, Nov. 1 of fiscal year" and "Refund during
fiscal year to banking institutions voluntarily liquidated." For 1923-27 from letter from J. A. Pratt to Thomas B. Love, dated August 9, 1933
(probably does not include full amount of such assessments).
