(Triis was held to take to White House in April 1939 Was not taken) B, Magruder Wingfield, son of the late John Richard Wingfield and Ida Vest Wingfield, was born at Chariottesville, Virginia, on October 9, 1899• He attended McGuirefs School for Boys at Richmond, Virginia, and the Augusta Military Acadeirqr at Fort Defiance, in the Valley of Virginia. He took his collage and law courses at the University of Virginia and received the degree of LL.B. at that University in 1922. He then engaged in the general practice of law at Bristol, Tennessee-Virginia, until May 1923, when he was employed as a law clerk by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Since that time he has been engaged in the legal work of the Reserve Board, being promoted successively to Assistant Counsel and Assistant General Counsel to the Reserve Board. The latter position he now occupies. In the fall of 1918 Mr. Wingfield entered the United States Arny and served until after the termination of the World War. Mr. Wingfield has retained his residence at Charlottesvilie, Virginia* He has always been a Democrat; but, in view of his absence from Virginia while engaged in the legal work of the Reserve Board, he is not connected with any faction in the Democratic Party in Virginia*
