BOARD OF GOVERNORS
DF THE

FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM

Office Correspondence
To

Chairman Eccles and Governor Szymczak

From

Mr. Knapp

Date

Subject i Meeting of the Staff Group
on Foreign Interests

If you have no objection, we are proposing to
hold a meeting of the Staff Group on Foreign Interests
in Washington next week (see agenda attached).

I believe

that all of the subjects listed are matters of special
System interest and that coordination of the work here
and in the New York Bank on these matters is necessary
and desirable. With respect to item 3, I hope that
Dr.

Williams will be able to attend the meeting and to

give us his views on this somewhat controversial question.
