Subject: Attached correspondence of ft-s First Security Trust Company Mr. Granville and Mr. Smith saw I I . Catherine /r last Saturday morning and discussed with him the matter referred to in the attached letters. This is a matter on which a definite answer cannot be given now, but when the appropriate time comes I have no doubt, from what Mr. Catherine has told me, that the arrangement proposed by Mr. Granville will be made. November 18, 1935 I Mr. Marriner S. Eccles Federal Reserve Board Washington, D. C. Dear Marriner: A few days ago Mr. Franklin D. Richards, State Director of the Federal Housing Administration for Utah, requested us to furnish him with certain forms used in Utah with reference to the sale of real estate. Mr. Richards also advised us that it is the intention of the Federal Housing Administration to appoint some company in Salt Lake City qualified to handle and dispose of properties acauired by the Federal Housing Administration through mortgage insurance. Enclosed is a copy of a letter we have addressed to Mr. Richards with respect to this work and offering our services. I feel confident our office is better equipped to handle this matter for the Federal Housing Administration than any other office in the city. Vie are told by the Prudential Insurance Company that their acquired properties have been handled by us in a very satisfactory manner. This is an account we would like very much to get and we will appreciate it if you can do anything in our behalf. Kindest personal regards. Very sincerely yours> V.RG.BZ enc.
