He was out, but Mr. Kuvin, with whom you remember talking, came on the phone and said that he had just written a letter, at Dr. Jordan’s request, urging you to come. I told him that as your plans for going west had changed, you would be able to be there and would come over to New York Thursday forenoon and go to the Waldorf to meet with them beginning at three o’clock. He understands that you would speak that evening. He seemed very much delighted that you could come. He was not sure whether the letter he had written had already gone out, but said that if it had, to disregard it.
