My dear Senator:
You «ere complimentary enough to say «hen
ve chanced to meet the other evening that you would
like me to send you another copy of my talk to the New
England bankers, which X am accordingly enclosing*
This «as extemporaneous and intended to be
off the record, but was taken down by stenotype and a
copy furnished to me, as a result of which X inflicted
mimeographed copies upon a few of my friends «ho X
felt would be interested in the subjects discussed*
Haturally X would feel honored if you could find ti
to glance through it since you are so thoroughly in
formed upon all of these matters, and your views and
assistance are always of great value to me* I trust
that X shall have a better opportunity than is afforded
by our chance encounters in elevators to go over some
of these matters of mutual interest with you during this
winter*
Sincerely yours,

tt* S. Eccles,
Chairmen*
