Dear Sir:
We are enclosing a compilation of our
weekly letters over the past two years dealing with
price control, inflation, gold and foreign exchange
relations between Canada and the United States.
It occurred to me that in view of the
present conditions in these particular fields you
would be interested in reading these thoughts.
I would be interested in having your
comments.
Yours very truly,

Batten, Ross & Company,

Toronto, Canada.
Dear Mr* Ross:
This is to acknowledge your letter of
May 19 and to thank you for sending me a compilation of your weekly letters over the past two
years discussing price control, inflation, foreign exchange, and other matters affecting relations between Canada and the United States.
These are such very crowded times that
I cannot undertake to give this material the
time and attention it would require in order to
give you my comments, but I have passed it along
to Dr. Hanson and Mr. Klndleberger because of
their work on the Joint Economic Committees of
Canada and the United States.
Sincerely yours,
(Signed) M. S. Eccles

Chairman.
