EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
BUREAU OF THE BUDGET
WASHINGTON. D. C.

OFFICE OF
THE DIRECTOR

March 26, 1942

My dear Mr. Eccles:
Supplementing our several conversations, I
would like to have you serve on an informal group
that is developing an anti-inflationary program
for the Administration.
We seem to be getting substantial agreement
on the technical level• Several of the staff members plan to go over the program with you informally,
and as soon as it is in shape for presentation to a
policy group I will get in touch with you.
I appreciate very much your lending Alvin
Hansen to us.
Sincerely yours,

Hon. Marriner S. Eccles
Chairman, Board of Governors
of the Federal Reserve System
