On the discussed further contribution of three to four billion dollars to
Britain on top of giving her twenty-nine billion of Lend Lease in World War
II and twenty billion in World War I:
Don*t f&rget Senator Barkley that the money you are so ready to hand over to
Britain jls not yours I But the money belongs to 135 million American citizens.
Your stated policy is to bribe Britain to obtain trade concessions which we are
fully and logically and reasonably entitled to without any further contributions
Russia lost seven million in killed and a like number in wounded and a forty
billion dollars damage in the War I Russia and China are entitled to loans if
any further loans are to be made.
The spectacle of weak men in the U . S. Senate and House of Representatives and
in the Representatives in the United Nations Organizations show of incompetance
is enough to make an alert American sick and disgusted J President Truman app^
ointed a man Judge Advocate General of the Army who used outright Hitler tactics
on loyal American citizens in Hawaii?
The U . S. Representatives at the United Nations Conference in San Francisco in
June approved the entry of Hitlers Allie, Argentina, into the U,N,0* against
Russia's request for a weeks deferment in doing sol
American Service men are returning, except those who died in battle, to live in
trailers, tents and to bunk in with relativesi Because of the shipment of hundreds of millions of feet of lumber has been for three years and is still being
shipped to foreign fields for big prices. Apparently no provision whatever was
even thought of for the return of and proper housing provisions and hospitaliztion for returning veterans* There was no drawback or lack of effeciency on the
part of officialdom in putting boys into the Army to fight. But upon their return no definite plans or arrangements on the part of Government Officials and
those in authority to instate the boys back to the status from which they were
summarily torn away fromj

Don t worry about Britain! Senator! Make three billion dollars worth of lumber available to carpenters and builders at a fair price and we will build the
houses for our unhoused veterans/ Canada says she can loan three billion to
Britain! Let her do it.
