B i e l e r , The Dixie Hotel, Monticello, F l o r i d a . Dear Mr. Bieler: I am glad you took the time to write to me on January 26, even though in criticism, about my testimony before the Joint Committee on the Economic Report in its hearings on the President's Economic Program. I am sorry the reporting was in error. I believe you w i l l feel differently about my remarks on the 4^-hour work-week i f you read the entire text of my statement, and therefore I am enclosing a copy of i t . Xou will note that I did not advocate a 44hour work-week "without overtime pay", but "without overtime rates of pay", which in themselves would be responsible for producing more purchasing power than the increase in the supply of goods. Very truly yours, M. S. Eccles. Enclosure. VE;dls f EVERY ROOM WITH A N D BATH AMERICAN OR EUROPEAN HEAT THE DIXIE HOTEL MRS. MAE G. BRVSON. MONTICELLO. OWNER-Mgr. FLORIDA
