CHICAGO, ILLINOIS
Mr. Marriner Eccles, Chairman,
Federal Reserve Board,
Washington, D.C.

NOVEMBER
19th,
1935.

Dear Marriner:
Will you please send me a copy of the address you
delivered at New Orleans.
I have a copy furnished by the
American Bankers Association; but I want to check and see if
yours is the same.
Also I want a new photograph.
The one we have now is
out of date.
I have seen a much better one somewhere, but I do
not know just where.
By the way, what is going to be done $bout the Governorship
of theSan Francisco Federal Reserve Bank? When it comes to the
selection of members of the Board of the San Francisco Federal
Reserve Bank, I think I mentimed to you once before, but I will
repeat, that I can recommend very highly for a member of that Board,
your humble servant.
I think that should he get the appointment, he
could work very intelligently with you.
This publishing a bank journal that will suit both branch
bankers and united bankers is some difficult jobj but I think so
far we have steered the proper course very successfully. I am
really serious about this.
As soon as a decision ismade as to any changes in the
plans of operation of the Eccles Chain, will you please advise me.

Sincerely yours,

Chairman
