Mr. Marriner Eccles
Federal Reserve Board
Washington Building
Washington, D.C.
Dear Marriner:
Thank you very much for your letter of the tenth, with
your speech to the New England Bank Management Conference on
November 1 5
. th. I liked it a lot. Personally feel that
anybody that can’t understand that kind of logic is too dumb
to save anyway. I am routing this through my personal organ
ization, to be read by each department head. I you could send
me three or four more copies I would appreciate it.
I expect to be in Washington sometime in January and will
plan a visit with you then. Please extend my best wishes for
a Merry Christmas to all of your staff members.
Sincerely yours
