Confirming my conversation with you yesterday, tlie
Treasury has no objection to your taking the usual steps
to have your Bank Holding Bill introduced in Congress,
it being understood that we reserve the right to express
our views to the Ghaimen of the Banking and Currency
Committees of the Souse and the Senate in replying to
their request for a report thereon.
