EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
NATIONAL RESOURCES PLANNING BOARD
WASHINGTON, D. C.

February 23, 1943

Hon. Marriner S. Eccles
Chairraan, Board of GoTernors
of the Federal Reserve System
Washington, D. C.
I y dear Governor Eccles:
f
I am very much obliged to you for your nice letter of
February 22. I fully concur in your views. I suppose when
we have passed on, there will be people who will say, "Those
men lived at an interesting time but were totally unaware of
what was happening".
I am glad to be reassured as to Mr. Duggan. I could not
believe that he could know all that he claimed to know or even
a small fraction of it. I think his letter to Mr. Byrnes
must have given him a headache.
Sincerely yours,

Frederic A. Delano
Chairman
