Fleming, President, Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, Cleveland, Ohio. My dear Mr. Fleming: I appreciate your offer to meet the train when I arrive in Cincinnati on the morning of March 20th and add to my entertainment while there. I expect to leave Washington on the evening of March 19th, arriving in Cincinnati at 8:23 a.m. March 20th. There is no need of your bothering to meet me at the train. I shall, however, be very glad to meet you at the hotel where you are staying, if you will advise me of the name of the hotel. If agreeable to you, we could have breakfast together. I would like very much sometime during the day, if it can be arranged, to meet the officers and directors of the Cincinnati Branch of the Federal Re serve Bank, as well as the leading bankers of Cin cinnati. It may be that luncheon would be the most appropriate and convenient time for me to meet with such a gathering. However, I will leave it up to you to make such arrangements as you feel will give me the opportunity desired. Sincerely yours, M. S. Eccles, Chairman. VE:b
