January 6, 1941* Dear General Wood: In order that I may repair the omission of your likeness from the collection of autographed photographs which I have assembled for some years for my library, I am herewith requesting that you supply me with an autographed photograph of yourself, 1 shall have to be content with that reminder of our association in the Federal Reserve System now that 1 have no choice but to bow to your decision to withdraw from the council table.
