Dear Mr. WhiteI
I understand from Mr* Eccles* secretary that
you wanted two hundred copies of his recent Chicago ad
dress, which deals with the fundamental principles of the
undistributed earnings and also the excess profits tax.
These copies have been forwarded to your office.
It occurred to me that you might also be in
terested to note a similar discussion in Ur, Eccles*
testimony before the Senate Committee on Unemployment
and Belief« Accordingly» X as enclosing a marked mimeo
graphed copy of that testimony* While X do not have a
large supply of these mimeographed copies, I could furnish
you with some additional ones if you wish to have them*
Sincerely yours,

Elliott Thurston,
Special Assistant
to the Chairman«
Honorable Compton 1« White,
