Dear Col. Mclntyrej
It was mighty nice of you to have given consideration to my recent suggestion re: McKee, etc. I am confident McKee will deliver if given the mission.
May I make a further suggestion in this connection
and that is if Judge McCarthy should happen to be the man
selected to succeed Calkins that the fact be played up, in
the Press, that he is a good friend of Herbert Hoover, having
been his appointee on the RFC board. This ought to Vill off
any cry of politics insofar as R. D. R. is concerned.
Of course you know that Gov. Eccles ±9 very close
to McCarthy who Ifm sure will play ball - 100£ - with him
(Eccles) and the Administration*
Note you'll soon be on your way to Miami. Canft you
give us the pleasure of having Mrs. Mclntyre come to stay
with us here while pending your arrival at Miami? Shall not
expect an acknowledgement of this letter - you^re so busy.
Just wire me if Mrs, Mclntyre cornea.

Sincerely,
A. P. Giannini
