G. R. Murff - Secretary of the Board

Today Mrs. Madge Burton called Mr. Herman W. Kilman)
former Assistant Cashier and Assistant Secretary of the Board
of this Bank, to see if he might have seen the organization
certificate of this Bank during his review of various files
in the Archives in connection with the research which he did
while he was writing the "History of the Federal Reserve Bank
of Dallas."

Mr. Kilman said that he did not see the organiza-

tion certificate (or a copy of it)) that he feels sure that
it was sent to the Treasury Department, Office of the Comptroller
of the Currency, and that Charter No. II, dated November 14,
1914, authorizing this Bank to commence business, was issued
on the basis of that organization certificate.

Mr. George F. Rudy
