ABSTRACT:

This is a recording of Andrew Brimmer giving a talk about banks in California and the hiring practices in 1967 and 1968 and the difference from ten years prior. Brimmer remarks on how bank employment for minority groups grew from approximately 13 percent to over 50 percent in that ten year period. The president of the California Bankers Association gives remarks on how the banks are aggressively recruiting and training minorities.
