At an adjourned meeting of the Federal Reserve

Board held in the office of the Board at 11 a.m.,

- Tuesday, September 15, 1914.
PRESENT:
Mr

Mr. Harding

The Governor of the Board presided, and Mr.
H. P. Willis acted as secretary to the meeting.
The Chairman called for a report by Mr. Warburg regarding an interview with Chairman Glass of the
House Banking and Currency Committee.

Mr. Warburg out-

lined a conversation with Chairman Glass and another
with Senator Pomerene, relative to pending amendments
to the Federal Reserve Act.
Mr. Williams reported the acceptance of the
vice-chairmanship of the Federal Reserve Bank of New
York by Mr. Starek.
Ur. Warburg reported the receipt of a telegram
indicating the probable non-acceptance by Mr. Wilson, of
Cleveland, of the chairmanship of thp Federal Reserve

The Chairman called attention to a letter
fromthe Secretary of the Board regarding the appointment of a chief clerk.
On motion made by Mr. Delano and unanimously
adopted, the Chairman named a temporary committee on
organization of the work of the Federal Reserve Board
in Washington to consist of Mr. Delano, Lit. Miller and
Williams.
On motion the meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.
to meet at 9:30 a. m. on Wednesday, September 16th.
