At a rogular meeting of the Federal Reserve
Board held in the office of the Board at 3:00 p. in., on
Thursday, 3ctober 22, 1.914
PRESENT:
Lir. Hamlin

Hr. Warburg

hr. Delano

Hr. Harding

hr. Williams

lir. Hiller.

The Governor presided, and Hr. I. P. Willis
acted as secretary to the meeting.,
The Secrotary of the Board outlined a plan for
the purchase of machines and equipment for Federal Reserve
Banks which had been framed by tile Committee of Governors.
On notion, he was authorized to cooperate with the Governors
in the way they desired regarding the purchase of equipment
and supplies.
Aft.ar a general discussion of the question of
heari:1,7 rrotests and appeals as to the establishment of
Federal Reserve districts, the questions pending in this
connection were referred to the Governor for investigation
and report.
Hr. Warburg presented the ouestion of employing
a special assistant to aid in the organization of certain

of the new banks.

The matter was laid on the table pend-

ing consideration of the report on internal organization,
and the latter was made the priviledged order of business
for the next meeting of the Board.

questions relative to the readjustment of the compensation of Reserve Agents.
On motion, the Board adjourned to meet at 10:30
a. m. on October 23, 1914.
