An exception is made for the library because of the public information function it performs. An appointment to use the Research Library gives visitors access to the library only. Other floors or offices in the building are not open to library visitors. (DIIECETCIt: The library maintains a collection of books and periodicals in the fields of banking, finance, economics, monetary policy, and the history of the Federal Reserve. Die collection is available to the public for use in the library. Borrowing is not permitted. CMMOG: Use the library's online catalog to locate journals and any books published since 1981. For older books, consult therarr}catalog. REFERENCE SERVICE: Reference librarians are available to provide directions and general guidance. With a small staff, in-depth reference service is not possible. look for the "information" signs. . EBOT0CDP1ES: A photocopier, for the use of Federal Reserve staff and visitors is located on the lower level of the library at the foot of the stairs. Up to 100 pages of Federal Reserve material may be copied without charge. A fee of per page will be collected for all other photocopying, including copies made frcan the microfiche/film copier. Please keep track of the number of copies you make and pay one of the reference librarians. Change is not available. Since Federal Reserve staff have priority in using the copier, please step asiHp should a staff member need to use it. To prevent damage, please handle library material carefully when photocopying. RETORK OF M M H O M S : Please do not reshelve material. Return publications to a librarian or to the circulation desk. Unbound periodicals should be returned to the periodicals section of the library. FOOD: Food and drinks are not permitted in the library, nor is the cafeteria open to the public.
