Transactions cover the weekly periods ending "ednasday January 8 and Y/ednesday January 1 5 * The' statement closes with a recapitulation giving comparative data by reserve dis tricts for all centers reporting complete data for both weeks. Large decreases in debits to individual account are shown for all Federal Reserve districtsj the decrease for the New York City banks alone being in excess 1 billion dollars* Debits to bank account show smaller decreases, some of the centers, notably New Orleans and Dallas in the South, aad Los Angeles and Seattle on the Pacific slope, reporting larger debits to bank account than the week befor Comparative data for the last two weeks cover debit transactions for clearing house banks in 145 centers.
