To THE CASHIER, SIR: In order to expedite the movement of securities and to facilitate the work of the Government Deposit Department and Bond Issue Division, we would thank you to execute v the enclosed signature cards; also have spaces filled in on the back thereof and return them to us at your earliest convenience. While the Federal Reserve Bank of New York may possibly have on file cards bearing specimen signatures of your officers, we feel it is essential that these departments should have a separate file for specimen signatures of all institutions in this district inasmuch as it is acting as fiscal agent of the Government.
