E.16 Country Exposure Lending Survey
Description:
The E.16 Country Exposure Lending Survey presents data on lending by U.S. banks to foreign sources. From 1977 to 1980, this data was published by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Federal Reserve Board. Since December 1980, it has been published by Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council.
This release was published semiannually through 1983, and quarterly starting in 1984.

Description:
Prior to 1923, this table was published in the annual report of the Comptroller. Between 1923 and 1929, the tables were issued as a numbered supplement. From 1930-1941, the supplements were lettered alphabetically from "H" to "S". No supplements were issued for the years 1942-1948, inclusive. Data is presented as of close of business, December 31 of the indicated year. All were published by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as part of the Annual Report issued the following year.
